Giveaway Day!

It's Giveaway Day (well, Week, really) over at Sew, Mama, Sew! and I'm offering up something fabulous.

I have been following along, mostly, with the Zakka Style Sew-Along, and I jumped ahead, thanks to Sara at Sew Sweetness, to the Zip Organizer.  Then I decided to downsize it into a wallet.  I loved the result so much that I have made several wallets this week.  They all have a charcoal linen base with fun designer cotton prints as pockets and accents.  The binding is hand-sewn.  You'll have to wait to see the original organizer that I made until its time comes in the sew-along!  For a sneak peek, check out my Facebook page.

This lovely prize features some Joel Dewberry prints.  It zips closed and has a zip pocket on the back for change.  The inside has 3 card slots on one side and three slightly larger slip pockets on the other.

To enter, leave a comment below letting me how you shop on Etsy...do you search for something specific, browse new listings, check in with your favorite shops?  Open to anyone, anywhere.  I will randomly select a winner on May 27.  For an extra entry, like my Facebook page and comment that you did.  PLEASE MAKE SURE I CAN CONTACT YOU IF YOU WIN.  Make sure your email address is visible in your profile, or include it in your comment.

  3. What an adorable wallet! I've been seeing the Zakka posts all over blog land, but this is one of my favorite projects. ;)

Most of the time when I'm shopping on etsy I'm looking for fabric, and I have a handful of shops that I prefer so I tend to go to those first. :)

Thanks for the chance to win!

  15. I do a little of each, really, just depending. Often I search for specifics, if I'm gift shopping. But I'll also browse fabric shops just by the category. And I like to watch the page where the latest items sold flow by, just to get ideas of what is out there, and what people are buying.

  39. I shop from Etsy all the time; how I shop from Etsy depends on what type of shopping I'm doing. If I'm looking for something in particular (this is usually true if I'm shopping for supplies: fabric, zippers et al.), then I will do a specific word search. If I'm looking for a gift, I'll first check my favorite shops and also I look at treasuries by searching them or through tags. I find new shops I like that way also. I never browse just new listings, but sometimes, when I need a break, I'll browse a category that I know I like.

    ReplyDelete

I start out wwith a specific search but tend to get side tracked when I jump to a shop to look at something then I just have to look at everything in the shop and that in turn makes me change my specific search to something else that I saw in a shop and it keeps going that way, for hours sometimes.
